Our Third Birthday: What's Changed in the Last Three Years?

May 2, 2026

This month marks a very special milestone for Chelmsford Private GPs – our third birthday. 🎉

What began as a small, passionate team with a shared vision has grown into a trusted private GP service for patients across Chelmsford and the surrounding areas. As we celebrate, we’ve taken a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come, what’s changed, and—most importantly—what hasn’t.

Where It All Started

When we first opened our doors, our goal was simple: to provide accessible, high-quality, person-centred healthcare in a calm and supportive environment.

From day one, we believed patients deserved:

  • More time with their GP
  • Easier access to appointments
  • Continuity of care with a doctor who knows them

That philosophy still sits at the heart of everything we do.

Growing With Our Patients

Over the past three years, we’ve seen incredible growth—not just in numbers, but in the breadth of care we offer.

Today, our services have expanded to support patients at every stage of life.

We’ve also improved access to care with on-the-day blood tests and ECGs available in clinic, plus rapid referrals and detailed discharge summaries when hospital care is needed.

A Team That’s Grown in Experience

While we’ve grown as a clinic, our strength continues to come from our team. Our experienced GP team brings together years of clinical expertise, a commitment to ongoing learning, and a genuine passion for patient care.

Better Access, More Convenience

Making healthcare more accessible has been a key focus for us.

We now offer flexible appointments, including evening and weekend slots, as well as telephone and video consultations for patients who prefer remote care.

For our patients, this means less waiting, more time with their doctor, and a healthcare experience that fits around their life.

What Hasn’t Changed

While much has evolved, our core values remain exactly the same:

  • Exceptional, personalised care
  • A calm, welcoming environment
  • Long appointments that give you time to talk
  • A GP who knows your name and your history

Looking Ahead

As we head into year four, we remain committed to what brought us here: putting our patients first, listening carefully, and providing the kind of healthcare we’d want for our own families.

Thank you for being part of the Chelmsford Private GPs community. Here’s to the next chapter.
